Ministries
The ministries teams exist to equip the Chinese Church of Iowa City by training, developing and supporting those called by God to serve in lay and ordained ministry.
Caring & Fellowship
Coordinator(s): Leon Qiao, Dagong Wang
Seeks to care for the spiritual and physical needs of brothers, sisters, and friends through various means, including home visits and fellowship activities.
Education & Training
Coordinator(s): Simon Kao
Educates everyone in biblical knowledge through Adult Sunday School, engages in practical discipleship using various teaching tools.
Outreach & Mission
Coordinator(s): Patrick Fan
Organizes Chinese Ministry’s activities regarding short-term missions, outreach, missionary support, and guest speaker engagement.
Worship & Prayer
Coordinator(s): Dingwu Shao
Organizes services around Chinese Ministry’s worship and prayer times, including Sunday worship procedures, prayer meetings, the worship team, choir, and ushers.
Facility Management
Coordinator(s): Sean Wang
Maintains various church facilities including the building, water, electricity, security system, outdoor playground and parking lot.
Children & Youth
Coordinator(s): Janet Woo & Tom Fisher
We want to teach and challenge our children and youth to think and live like Christ now, and we believe it is never too early to start learning about Christ.
Choir
Coordinator(s): Tony Chang
Gather and guide brothers and sisters to worship God; leads the congregation to praise the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and proclaims the Gospel through music.
Audio Visual
Coordinator(s): Anthony Su
Serves behind the scenes to ensure that the worship service flows smoothly from the music and lyrics on the screen to the sermon during service.
New Media
Coordinator(s): Simon Low
Creates awareness of our church and various ministries using our online presence to connect the community with events and updates in and around CCIC.
