  基督教的伟大思想家多马肯培(Thomas a’Kempis)年老时曾说:“不要被他人的说话影响自己,因为是褒是贬都不重要,最主要的是你是否对得起自己。”   每个人都希望得到别人称赞,这原是很自然的,但如果这个欲望占据了我们,甚至发展到别人不称赞,自己就不快乐的地步,那不单对自己有害,甚至会得罪神。带来严重的后果。   基督徒要学的第一样功课是忍受责骂。记得耶稣在世之时,祂所受的攻击极为猛烈。   家中的主人既是如此,作仆人的又怎能免受抨击呢?   要避开恶意批评,唯一的方法是远离人群。不过,如果你真的这样做,可能仍会有些人刻意用令人吃惊的口吻,说你别有用心。你立定不动时,有人会责怪你懒惰,当你动手参与时,又有人怪你为什么不参与其他事情。   伏尔泰(Voltaire)不是说过,有些人就像蚊虫一样,只在叮人时才受到注意吗?因此,要继续旅程就要下定决心,不怕蚊叮虫咬。这些蚊虫并不能阻止一个人前进,只能令他的旅程变得较为艰难而已。同样,神的仆人朝着主所定的目标进发时,身边也有很多喜欢叮人的人。这些人似乎以制造麻烦为乐,而我们亦难免受他们困扰。正如以上所说,这些人是避无可避的,唯有忍忍他们吧!   纵然如此,有一点仍可肯定,神是不会以人的眼光论人。众人所称赞的,神不会对他特别好;众人所批评的,神也不会对他有偏见。神认识我们,我们的一举一动,祂都了如指掌。   我们要面对神,也要面对人。除了“仰望耶和华,静默等候祂的救恩”(哀三26)外,就没有什么可以做了。不过,我们只要有圣灵住在心里,仇敌就不得不承认我们认识耶稣,祂也与我们同在。 請關注我們公號👆

  很多人都以为圣经有一股导人向善的神奇力量,无论在什么情况下,单是把圣经读一读,或是节录其中的章节,都会令人得益。这种想法颇为幼稚,实需纠正。   彼得就曾经指出,保罗的书信可能不会令每个人都得益:“……就如我们所亲爱的兄弟保罗,照着所赐给他的智慧写了信给你们。他一切的信上也都是讲论这事。信中有些难明白的,那无学问、不坚固的人强解,如强解别的经书一样,就自取沉沦。”(彼后三15-16)   圣经可能会引致的危机,乃在它会令我们过分注意它,以致看不到神。毫无疑间,事实往往确是如此。圣经应如空气般透明,让人可以看到太阳。假若它阻挡了光线,使人只能看到它而看不透它,就丧失了本身应有的功能,神的话也是如此。假如我们只顾研究神的话,而没有借着它认识这位大能的神,则圣经仍没有在我们身上发挥应有的功能。换另一个例子来说,圣经就像望远镜,让我们看到“远方的一切”。但如果我们只满足于望远镜本身,必会错失上好福分,因为神从来不会用其他事物,来取代只有祂才可享有的位置,祂也从来无意以圣经来取代自己的话语。   圣经的目标有三:宣告神的计划、让人信靠神、让人顺服祂。除此之外,其他用途都只会导致误用圣经,甚至可能会造成实质的伤害。只有虚心受教、清心相信和全心顺服的人,才会从圣经中得着益处。对这些人来说,圣经就像透明的亲子,让人可以看到三一真神,并在地上初尝身处天国的滋味。 請關注我們公號👆

陶恕《无尽的一章》三十二、凡事皆属灵

  基督徒的福分在于他们可以每时每刻都与神同行,完完全全的活在祂里面。   只要我们活在神里面,不断经历祂的同在,就会觉得凡事都有了属灵意义。以往分隔属世与属灵生活的界线亦不再存在。曾经是世俗的事,如今也有了新的意义。我们所遇到的一切,无论是大是小,神都会参与其中,而生命中的各方面,亦因着主耶稣基督的缘故,不但有所改善,而且还蒙神悦纳。   活在基督里的信徒,所过的其实是不住祷告的生活。他们整个生命都在不住祷告:说话,是开声祈祷;思想,是心灵祈祷;一举一动是用行为祈祷;甚至睡眠也可能是一种不自觉的祷告。   心理学家承认人的内心世界尚有潜在的一面,称为潜意识。它在我们睡眠,以及被麻醉时控制我们。这个神秘的思想领域亦可能是我们接收圣灵启示的地方。启示先经潜意识接收记录,我们便意识到它的存在。无论这种说法是否正确,有一点仍可肯定,那就是我们可以把心思意念全然放在基督手里,纵使是睡眠或自己不在意时,基督的同在都会成为我们日常生活的祝福和帮助。解释这个真理的方式可能因人而异,但每个被圣灵充满的基督徒都会知道事实就是如此。我们只不过以较少人用的说话方式,去诠释一种大家已经耳熟能详的真理罢了!
