Because he pioneered the spread of the gospel to non-Jews, he is also revered as the Apostle to the Gentiles. His footprints covered most of Asia Minor, as well as modern-day Greece and Rome. To preach the gospel, he endured many hardships and was eventually martyred. The New Testament consists of 27 books, half of which were written by Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"737\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/ccic-iowa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/\u4fdd\u7f57\u4f20\u9053\u884c\u8e2a1-737x1024.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5561\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ccic-iowa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/\u4fdd\u7f57\u4f20\u9053\u884c\u8e2a1-737x1024.gif 737w, https:\/\/ccic-iowa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/\u4fdd\u7f57\u4f20\u9053\u884c\u8e2a1-216x300.gif 216w, https:\/\/ccic-iowa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/\u4fdd\u7f57\u4f20\u9053\u884c\u8e2a1-768x1067.gif 768w, https:\/\/ccic-iowa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/\u4fdd\u7f57\u4f20\u9053\u884c\u8e2a1-9x12.gif 9w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 737px) 100vw, 737px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Image: Paul&#8217;s early ministry after his conversion, with disciples spreading the gospel outside the province of Judea.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">1\u3001On the road to Damascus, the Lord appeared to Saul, who was called and began his ministry in that area (Acts 9:1-22).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">2\u3001Saul went to Arabia for three years of study (Galatians 1:17)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">3\u3001After three years, Saul returned to Jerusalem to preach after being persecuted in Damascus (Acts 9:23-29; Galatians 1:18)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">4\u3001Saul&#8217;s life was threatened in Jerusalem, so he returned to his hometown of Tarsus via Caesarea (Acts 9:30)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">5\u3001Saul preached and established churches in Syria and Cilicia for about eleven years (Galatians 1:21)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">6\u3001Scattered disciples preached the gospel in Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch (Acts 11:19-21)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">7\u3001The church in Jerusalem sent Barnabas to Antioch to encourage the believers. He wrote 1 and 2 Thessalonians in Corinth, and Galatians may also have been written there.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">1\u3001Paul and Barnabas were sent from Jerusalem to Antioch (Acts 15:22-38).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">2\u3001Paul and Barnabas had a sharp disagreement over John Mark. Barnabas and Mark sailed to Cyprus (Acts 15:39)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">3\u3001Paul traveled through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches (Acts 15:40-41)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">4\u3001Paul went to Derbe, Lystra, and Iconium (Acts 16:1-5)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">5\u3001The Holy Spirit prevented Paul from preaching in Asia. He went through Phrygia, Galatia, and Mysia. On the border of Mysia, he tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit it.
